Login and Registration Issues


How can I register?
Simply click the register button on the left side menu, and follow the instructions. If you have some registration issues please contact us. Our team will contact you as soon as possible to fix your problem.

Why can't I log in?
The most common reason for this is when you enter an incorrect username or password (check the email you were sent when you first registered). If your log-in info is correct, it might be possible that your membership is revoked because of the violation of our terms and conditions. If this is not the case then maybe your account needs to be reactivated because of payment issues for premium members. If you think that it is a technical problem of Render-ray web site, simply send us an e-mail for us to fix your account and to have more info or re-register

Why do I need to register at all?
You need to register to join our on-line computer graphics community and to use our free services like downloading the 3d scenes source files, tutorials etc…

Why didn’t I receive my confirmation mail with my log-in info?
Sometimes our confirmation mail goes directly to the junk box of users E-mails. So please check your junk E-mail list to get our confirmation mail to your safe list. If you can not find our confirmation mail that can be because of entering a wrong e-mail address than yours (you believe or not but sometimes it happens :o))). If so, you need to re-register to Render-ray.

Why do I get logged off automatically?
If you do not check the “Log me in automatically” box when you log in, the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc.

I've lost my password!
If you lost your password go to the login page and click I've forgotten my password. Follow the instructions and at the end you will receive an e-mail that contains your password





General Questions

How can I upload
To upload anything, first of all, you have to register to Render-ray. After your registration process, you just need to press upload button on the left side column and follow the instructions

How can I modify my personal settings?
To modify your personal settings, you have to login. Press my info link on the upper side and modify your settings.

How can I delete or modify the source content that I uploaded?
After logging-in, press my gallery of contents on the upper side. Now as you see on this my gallery of contents page, you will find everything that you uploaded. To modify or delete, click edit or delete link on the right side of your uploaded content

Why can’t I download?
If you are a free member, you can download maximum 5 scenes. If you would like to continue downloading; you have to upload a scene, or a tutorial of your own. The more you upload, the more you can download.(every upload that you make give you a chance to download 5 more free scenes)   With free membership you do not have the rights for unlimited downloads.

Is it possible to have unlimited downloads?
Yes its is possible if you get our premium membership.

Who do I contact about illegal or possibly illegal attachments?
You can fill-out our contact form directly to send us. Our render-ray team will take the precautions needed for  illegal content as quick as possible after your e-mail.

Why is not my language in the list!
For the moment we are using just three languages English, French, and Turkish. In the future we will add more languages.

How can I change my ranking?
In general we are using ranking system to understand the quality of the uploaded content by getting the ideas of our members. You can not directly change of any rank because ranks are the votes of our members. That’s why we are asking you not to vote down for bad reason. Vote for giving our other users to have some ideas about the content. Do not abuse the ranking system. We do not want to ban our members permanently.
